 Central Education Center receives a grant from the Bright Ideas campaign. Bright Ideas is a grant program sponsored by Coweta-Fayette Trust, Inc. and Coweta-Fayette EMC that awards funds to teachers to put innovative and creative education projects into action.

 Salvation Army (Newnan Service Center) receives an Operation Round Up check for Project SHARE. Project SHARE provides emergency assistance to Georgians who need help with basic necessities – housing, food, medical care and utility services. |
 Coweta County Recreation Department receives the funds needed to purchase defibrillators for five Coweta County ball fields. Each league will receive training for proper procedures when using the new equipment. |
 Summit Family YMCA received $50,000 for their new teen center opening May 2007. The new facility will concentrate on after-school programs like homework assistance and tutoring but will include fun activities like ping pong and pool tables. |
 Te Real Life Center (formerly known as Braelinn Community Services) received $6,500 to help open a thrift store in Tyrone. The proceeds will be used to assist families who are experiencing difficult times. Their program is designed to offer a "hand up" instead of a "hand out". |
 Thanks to Coweta-Fayette EMC’s Operation Round-Up program, Heard Middle School has received some needed computer stations that include a television, VCR and scanner. |
